Week 7 in the Library: Picture Books

Picture Books aren’t just for the littlies…

‘Children’ of any age can read and enjoy a picture book and find something meaningful to take away.

A great example of this is Damon.  Damon is a teenager who seems to have misplaced his imagination. This books shows us how he rediscovers it…

There are other amazing picture books being featured during Week 7:

Some have funny bits AND sad bits...

Tough Boris by Mem Fox

The Day I Swapped my Dad for Two Goldfish by Neil Gaiman

Some are serious....

Damon by Gary Crew

Some are a bit clever and ever so slightly educational!

A Filth of Starlings and A Drove of Bullocks by Patrick George

Some are graphic.

Sherlock Holmes by Murray Shaw

Some are onomatopoeic.

Demolition by Sally Sutton

Some are wordless.
The Lion and the Mouse by Jerry Pinkney

And this is only the tip of the iceberg... there is a picture book in this week’s Treasure Trove for everyone
